Joaquin J Noon, CPA
Joaquin is the owner of Noon & Associates, having started his own firm in 2014.
Joaquin has been providing accounting, auditing, and consulting services to clients since 2001. He has performed audits for state and local government agencies, higher education organizations, non-profit, and commercial companies.
Joaquin began his career at KPMG LLP where he performed and managed financial statement and single audits of a variety of organizations with a specific focus on Tribal government. Throughout his career, Joaquin has assisted clients with the implementation of relevant GASB standards and single audit compliance requirements. He has performed risk assessments and analysis on business processes and internal controls. During his 13.5-year tenure with KPMG LLP, Joaquin spent three years in their New York City national office developing audit guidance and tools implemented globally. He coordinated the planning, design, and supervision of various audit efficiency projects in England, Ireland, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Joaquin has assisted consulting clients with the issuance of public debt offerings. He was a key part of a Series 144A debt offering assisting with the preparation of presentations, roadshows, and an offering memorandum. Also, Joaquin participated in the presentation to S&P for an initial bond rating. Finally, Joaquin has assisted in responding to yearly S&P questions for the reaffirmation of issuer credit ratings and bond ratings.
Joaquin’s professional experience has contributed to his unique approach to consulting. His combined experience in financial reporting and analysis, risk assessment, business process and internal controls review, and laws and regulations compliance enable him to see improvement opportunities and propose well-rounded and efficient solutions that address multiple issues concurrently. He is able to highly tailor each project to the needs of his clients and get to the core of any problem quickly.
Joaquin is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation making his firm one hundred percent Native American owned. Joaquin is a Certified Public Accountant in New Mexico.
