Jonathan Roepcke, CPA, CFE
Jonathan has been providing accounting, auditing, and consulting services to clients since 2007. He has performed audits for government agencies, healthcare organizations, higher education organizations, non-profit, and energy companies.
Jonathan began his career at KPMG LLP where he performed and managed financial statement audits of a variety of organizations with a specific focus on Tribal government. Throughout his career, Jonathan has assisted clients with the implementation of relevant GASB standards. He has performed risk assessments and analysis on business processes and internal controls.
Jonathan has assisted financial statement audit clients during their issuance of public debt offerings. He was a key part of a Series 144A debt offering assisting in populating the financial aspects of the offering memorandum. Finally, Jonathan has assisted in responding to yearly S&P questions for the reaffirmation of issuer credit ratings and bond ratings.
In addition, Jonathan is a skilled CaseWare IDEA user for data analytics and facilitated training for clients and peers.
Jonathan’s years of audit experience has contributed to his unique approach to consulting. Jonathan has the ability to analyze findings and recommend corrective action that satisfies internal control needs, compliance requirements, and auditor expectations while allowing room for future growth. His depth of knowledge as an auditor enables him to anticipate the needs and expectations of the external auditor and drive the audit forward to completion efficiently. Jonathan is an expert at preparing corrective action simultaneously with audit preparation.
Jonathan specializes in fraud risk assessment and investigation. Jonathan has assisted clients in the identification of misappropriation of assets and management override of internal controls. He prepares reports that quantify the potential magnitude of loss due to fraud and recommends improvements to detect or prevent future fraud events.
Jonathan is a Certified Public Accountant in New Mexico and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
