Tara Denetsosie-Lovato

 

Tara has been providing legal, auditing and consulting services to clients since 2009.  She has performed audits for government agencies, higher education organizations, non-profit, and energy companies.

Tara joined KPMG LLP in 2014 where she performed financial statement audits of a variety of organizations with a specific focus on Tribal government and single audits.  Tara additionally worked for five years as a paralegal and litigation assistant for a law firm concentrating on Native American issues where she focused on document research, discovery, and chain of custody of records.

Tara’s years of combined legal and audit experience has contributed to her unique approach to consulting. Tara specializes in research and interpretation of laws and regulations within the financial reporting framework.  She is skilled at identifying which laws and regulations apply to her clients and providing recommendations to operate at maximum efficiency within the compliance framework.  

  

​Tara is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation.
